LOWER SITE AND OPERATING COSTS

Sky Park is build according to the Meccano principle which means it is easy to assemble and disassemble.

The car is fetched in one of the entrance modules by the robot trolley. The trolley then takes the car to an empty parking space.

Every robot trolley has its own controlsystem „PLC” (the top has been opened for sake of the photograph)

.

The pictures illustrate the priciple of transporting the cars to and from the trolle.

The cars are kept in parking slots next to and above each other in the Sky Park. Generally the carpark contains two levels of slotline with one robot trolley between the slotline. At the end of the robot trolley are placed transporting equipments in vertical direction.

The entrance module is opening when the client’s car arrives there. In the entrance module a symbol system is giving help to the driver till the car gets in an adequate position. After the driver is convinced that his car is is locked, he takes the parking ticket or season ticket on which the date, time and personal reference number is registrated, then he leaves the carpark.

For the driver, the process of parking is reduced to leaving the car inside an entrance module. No ramps or tight corners to negotiate, no reversing into narrow parking slots.

For disabled drivers, the advantages are obvious. The inside of a Sky Park is totally unmanned. A driver may access a car by showing a ticket, but access is denied to unauthorized persons. Cars are thus protected from theft and/or damage, and drivers are protected as well.

It is just as easy to pick the car up as it is to leave it. The driver puts his/hers parking ticket into the machine and after a short time the car appears in the exit module.

If a driver loses a ticket, he/she can still get the car back by stating its registration nuber and showing appropriate identification.

At peak periods, a short wait may be involved before entering or leaving an entrance/exit module. But experience shows that storage and retrieval of vehicles is still faster than in a conventional carpark.

For the operator, a Sky Park means lower cost and a higher return on investment. For the user, Sky Park means simpler, safer, and more convenient parking, round the clock.

After then the robot trolley lifting mechanism runs under the car, it locates the tyres of the car, it picks up the car and takes the car to an empty parking space.

BETTER COMFORT AND

SECURITY FOR THE CUSTOMER

The picture shows a SkyPark site which accommodates 112 cars.

When a car is to be parked, it is driven upto one of entrance modules showing a  green light. The gate opens automati-cally for the car to pass through.

The display in the entrance shows the driver where the car is to be parked. The driver leaves the car and goes to the automatic ticket machine outdoors.

The driver presses a button on the machine and a parking ticket comes out. The gate shuts and the car is parked. It couldn’t be simpler.
